Cultural events in Küsnacht are provided by both the community and the numerous local clubs and associations. Besides theatrical performances and literary gatherings, the political community also organizes the musical series “Concerts in Küsnacht” and biannually presents the cultural award of Küsnacht.
The community library, Gemeindebibliothek, and the Galerie im Höchhuus, a gallery where the cultural association, Kulturvereinigung (KVK), organizes art exhibitions are both located in the Höchhuus on the Seestrasse 123. Together with the community, the KVK also runs the local museum, Ortsmuseum Küsnacht. The theater club, Die Kulisse, presents a new production every year. Artists and art lovers gather at the art society, Artischock, whose aim is to promote cultural creativity. The music school, Musikschule Küsnacht, offers music lessons for children, teenagers and adults. The Chrottegrotte, located on the Obere Dorfstrasse, 27, has become a popular meeting point under the aegis of the association Wohnliches Küsnacht (livable Küsnacht) after having been renovated by the town council. The cultural events that take place there complement the other cultural happenings organized by the community. A toy (lending) library, Ludothek, is run by the family club, Familien-Club, at the same premises.
